It seems like the skin market should be leveling off by now. This is generally true. But we still see huge price fluctuations for certain items, up to 50%+.
Below we cover this week’s top gainers, biggest losers, and how current team rankings and storylines could feed into skin demand. For actual entries and exits, check live listings and recent sales on white.market.
Top Gainers
AK-47 | Leet Museo (Field-Tested) – +86.75%

Leet Museo went vertical. FT is the “playable art” tier: still bright, but far cheaper than FN. Players are still hunting for the Butterfly Knife | Gamma Doppler, trying to craft it using the AK-47 | Leet Museo. Because of this, demand for the skin remains high while the number of available listings keeps shrinking.
M4A1-S | Golden Coil (Minimal Wear) – +33.37%

Golden Coil stays a comfort pick for CT mains. MW sits in the premium-but-not-crazy price band, so when demand rises, it climbs quickly. A few high-float MWs undercut early in the week, then got snapped up, dragging the floor higher.
Desert Eagle | Starcade (Field-Tested) – +24.84%

Starcade checks all the boxes: colorful, readable, and very clip-friendly. FT is often the first stop for players upgrading from default or budget Deagles. Since Valve removed Starcade from the Armory Pass, its value began to increase.
M4A1-S | Hyper Beast (Minimal Wear) – +15.41%

Hyper Beast keeps grinding up after past gains. MW copies give full artwork without FN prices, so they’re the main liquidity pool. As more players tune back into CS2 ahead of Budapest, “older classic” skins like this see renewed demand from returning users refreshing inventories. The result: a slower, but steady, climb rather than a wild spike.
Glove Case – +15.19%

While some individual glove skins dipped, the Glove Case itself ticked up. That’s typical before or during big events: traders speculate on future glove prices and prefer holding sealed cases over specific patterns. When more people open cases, a sealed supply thins out fast.
Top Losers
M4A1-S | Solitude (Field-Tested) – −37.27%

Solitude continues its slide. FT copies are the most common, so when holders exit, they hit this tier first. With money flowing into Golden Coil and Hyper Beast, Solitude feels like the “ex-skin” of the week. Several aggressive undercuts likely reset market expectations, pulling buy orders down as well.
Operator | FBI SWAT – −15.83%

The FBI SWAT agent skin lost ground as players shifted focus to weapons and Budapest sticker plays. Agents move in waves; when there’s no direct pro or meme push behind a specific model, it can fade quietly. Many users already own at least one CT agent, so fresh demand is limited unless it’s featured heavily on streams.
Revolution Case – −14.01%

Revolution Case cooled off, because its items are now more available than before. With so many players saving balance for Budapest stickers and Viewer Pass activity, mid-priced cases often get sold off first. When a few large stacks get dumped below the current floor, the rest of the market follows. Long term, case charts often look like stairs, but this week was a step down.
Kilowatt Case – −13.21%

Kilowatt also took a hit after the crafting update. After being in heavy rotation as “the” case to open, some of that energy moved into glove/speculation plays and Major content. Traders locking in profits from earlier runs likely added to the pressure. For case flippers, this kind of pullback is normal – the question is whether volume stays healthy.
★ Paracord Knife | Marble Fade (Factory New) – −13.14%

Paracord Marble Fade in FN slipped as high-end buyers turned cautious. A few discounted FNs can drag the visible floor down quickly in this thin segment.

Budapest Major kicks off with FURIA on top of the food chain
Invites for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 were locked months ago, but form has shifted hard since then. FURIA went from shaky results to four titles in six months and now sit at the top of most power rankings. Vitality, The MongolZ, NAVI, Spirit, MOUZ, Astralis, FaZe, G2 and others arrive with mixed form and big question marks. This uncertainty is good for traders: any surprise deep run can suddenly put that team’s loadouts in the spotlight.
Why form and VRS matter for skins
Valve’s Regional Standings no longer change Budapest invites, but they still shape seeding and who’s expected to go deep. When a “favorite” like FURIA farms playoffs, their rifles, AWPs and knife-glove combos get constant camera time. When a team underperforms, interest shifts to whoever knocks them out. Think of VRS and power rankings as early hints for which inventories will get the most broadcast exposure.
Teams to watch from a trader’s angle
FURIA – current form kings and narrative darlings. If they reach another final, expect demand around their star AWPers’ skins and flashy rifle picks.
Vitality – defending Major champions who keep running into FURIA. Any revenge arc in Budapest can reignite interest in their long-standing meta skins.
The MongolZ – huge 2025 story with a late roster change. A surprise run from a “weakened on paper” roster could make their loadouts cult picks.
NAVI, Spirit, MOUZ, FaZe, G2, Astralis – inconsistent but stacked with star names. One deep playoff run from any of them is enough to move a few signature AK / AWP / knife combos.
Let’s see what happens next.
