USP-S | Alpine Camo Patterns Guide: Best Blue Pattern Seeds in CS2
Full USP-S | Alpine Camo pattern guide for CS2: Tier 1, 2 and 3 blue seeds, how to check your pattern index, and where to buy the best ones.
5 November 2026
The USP-S | Alpine Camo looks like a simple budget pistol skin, but it hides a collector's twist: its metal parts use a Case Hardened-style finish, so the amount of blue on the gun changes from one pattern seed to the next. This Alpine Camo pattern guide explains how that works, which seeds sit in the top tiers, and how to check and buy the one you want.
Weapon: USP-S
Collection: The Sport & Field Collection (16 skins)
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade
Released: October 2, 2024, in the "The Armory" update
Float range: 0.00–0.68, so all five exteriors exist (Factory New to Battle-Scarred)
Obtained from: Not from a weapon case. The collection has no case, so the skin comes through trade-up contracts and the market
The USP-S Alpine Camo is an everyday, low-cost CS2 skin. The camouflage design itself looks identical on every copy. What differs is the tint of the small metal components, and that is the whole reason pattern hunting exists for this skin.
Every skin in CS2 has a pattern index (seed) from 1 to 1000. On most finishes it makes no visible difference. On the Alpine Camo, the seed controls how the case-hardened-style coloring lands on the metal parts:
Hammer
Slide catch
Trigger
Magazine release
Safety lever
Muzzle
Front and rear sights
Ejection port
On a Alpine Camo "blue gem" seed these parts are almost entirely blue. On an average seed they look dull or only partially tinted. Collectors chase the blue ones, and the community sorts them into three tiers.
Note: These tiers come from community research and visual comparison, not from Valve, and the boundaries between tiers are a judgment call. Always inspect a skin in-game before paying a premium for it.
What defines it: The hammer, slide catch, trigger, mag release, safety lever, muzzle and both sights are blue almost across the board. The ejection port is the deciding detail: its blue coverage runs from roughly 80% to 100% depending on the seed.
Tier 1 pattern seeds (36):
16, 48, 66, 67, 69, 96, 148, 159, 259, 263, 273, 297, 308, 321, 324, 341, 347, 461, 482, 490, 517, 530, 567, 674, 695, 704, 723, 772, 781, 790, 792, 843, 885, 904, 948, 990
Pattern 781 is commonly used as a reference example of this tier.
What defines it: From the left side, Tier 2 seeds are hard to tell apart from Tier 1. The same small parts are nearly all blue. The difference is on the top and right side of the gun, where the ejection port carries roughly 50% to 75% blue instead of almost full coverage.
Tier 2 pattern seeds (30):
111, 117, 225, 338, 354, 364, 370, 386, 406, 426, 537, 542, 587, 592, 607, 611, 651, 668, 673, 696, 701, 730, 764, 846, 856, 876, 880, 882, 942, 953
Pattern 730 is the typical showcase example. Community members have also pointed out that 426 looks very close to 730, with slightly more blue.
What defines it: The small metal parts still lean blue, though less completely than in the higher tiers. The ejection port is where Tier 3 gives itself away, with only about 15% to 45% blue coverage.
Tier 3 pattern seeds (about 50):
1, 19, 44, 62, 109, 113, 116, 134, 142, 201, 202, 284, 332, 356, 365, 375, 402, 430, 440, 481, 483, 503, 524, 525, 562, 591, 643, 649, 711, 721, 725, 752, 808, 820, 821, 826, 857, 870, 878, 895, 898, 900, 925, 946, 951, 964, 965, 970, 976, 992, 998
Pattern 113 is a common reference example for this tier.
Any seed not listed above falls outside the three blue tiers. These copies show little or no blue, so the metal parts look plain by comparison. Pattern 949 is often used as a "no blue" example, and some owners report seeds such as 813 that look almost colorless. If your skin isn't on the lists, it is a normal copy that trades on float and exterior rather than pattern.
Tier | Blue on small metal parts | Ejection port blue | Seeds |
|---|---|---|---|
Tier 1 | Almost fully blue | ~80–100% | 36 |
Tier 2 | Almost fully blue | ~50–75% | 30 |
Tier 3 | Mostly blue | ~15–45% | ~50 |
No tier | Little or none | Minimal | Everything else |
Inspect it in-game. Open your inventory, select the skin and choose Inspect. CS2 shows the float value, and the pattern template can be read from the inspect link.
Use a float and pattern checker. Paste the item's inspect link into a third-party float checker or marketplace listing page to read the exact pattern index.
Compare against the tier lists above. Match the seed number to Tier 1, 2 or 3.
Verify visually. Pay special attention to the ejection port from the top and right side, since that is where the tiers separate.
Many marketplaces display pattern seed and float directly on the listing, so you can often filter or sort before you ever open the inspect screen.
Pattern is a premium factor for collectors, but it works alongside two other things: exterior (an Alpine Camo in Factory New condition usually costs more than Battle-Scarred one) and float, particularly very low floats within an exterior. Because the base skin is cheap, even a modest collector premium can multiply its price, while a plain copy stays near the base level. Alpine Camo Blue Gem prices move with demand, so check recent sales for the exact seed and wear you're after instead of relying on a fixed number.
If you want a particular seed rather than a random drop, buying directly is the realistic path. Trade-up contracts give you a random Mil-Spec skin from the collection, so landing a top-tier seed that way is pure luck.
Why white.market works well for pattern hunting:
True P2P trading. Sellers keep their skins in their own Steam inventory while listed, instead of depositing them into a bot.
0% buyer fee. Buyers pay the listed price. Sellers pay a 5% commission when an item sells.
Low-cost withdrawals. Typically between 0% and 1% depending on the method.
Crypto and fiat payments. Flexible ways to pay.
Steam login and float/price tools. Browse with filters and check float and price history before you buy.
Large inventory. Roughly half a million listed skins, which raises your odds of finding the exact seed you want.
Backed by an established ecosystem. white.market is part of the W Group ecosystem alongside the WhiteBIT crypto exchange.
Whichever platform you use, confirm the pattern index and float on the listing page before you pay.
Community tier lists rank Tier 1 seeds highest because their small metal parts are almost entirely blue and the ejection port carries roughly 80–100% blue. Seeds such as 781 are used as examples.
Community research lists 36 Tier 1 seeds, followed by 30 in Tier 2 and about 50 in Tier 3.
In its standard form it is a low-cost Mil-Spec skin that is widely available across marketplaces. Rarer blue patterns and low floats can cost noticeably more.
The Sport & Field Collection, released on October 2, 2024 with The Armory update. The collection has no weapon case.
No. It comes from trade-up contracts or can be bought on the market.
Inspect the skin in-game and read the pattern from the inspect link, or paste the link into a float checker. Many marketplace listings also show it.
No. It is community-made, so treat the tiers as a guide and judge the actual skin in the inspect screen.
