CS2 Skins Market Weekly – Aquamarine Revenge Skyrockets, CS2 Premier new season
CS2 skin market recap for last week. Aquamarine Revenge skyrockets 156%, while popular rifles and gloves slide.
15 January 2026
Last week delivered one of the most uneven price distributions the CS2 skin market has seen in months. While a handful of skins posted explosive gains, most popular rifles and premium items moved sharply lower. The move was driven by a combination of thin supply, speculative momentum, capital rotation, and Valve’s announcement of the upcoming Premier reset.
Below is a breakdown of the biggest winners and losers from last week, and what really drove those moves.
AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge (Factory New) | +156.80%
This was a classic low-supply breakout amplified by speculation. Factory New Aquamarine Revenge has limited listings and strong collector appeal, which means it reacts violently when buyers step in. As attention shifted toward premium AKs ahead of the Premier reset, traders piled into one of the most recognizable designs, pushing prices far beyond their previous range in just days.
MP9 | Pandora’s Box (Field-Tested) | +24.96%
Pandora’s Box benefits from a mix of niche collector interest and steady trading activity. Field-Tested copies are relatively cheap, making them easy to buy out when momentum builds. This week’s rise looks driven more by liquidity than fundamentals — a few aggressive buyers were enough to lift the entire price range.
FAMAS | Pulse (Factory New) | +24.34%
Pulse moved not because of game relevance, but because of how thin the FN market is. Factory New copies are rarely listed in volume, so even moderate speculative interest caused a sharp repricing. Moves like this are typical in low-liquidity FN skins when traders look for fast percentage gains.
AK-47 | Nightwish (Battle-Scarred) | +19.32%
This was a case of capital rotating into the cheapest playable AK variant. As better-condition Nightwish versions became more expensive, buyers shifted down the quality ladder. Battle-Scarred copies still look decent in-game, making them an attractive alternative when players and traders chase exposure to a rising skin.
FAMAS | Roll Cage (Battle-Scarred) | +15.08%
Roll Cage has long been undervalued relative to its visual quality. The Battle-Scarred version sits in a price range that invites speculative buying, and once a few listings were cleared, the rest of the market repriced upward quickly.
M4A1-S | Hyper Beast (Minimal Wear) | −18.81%
Hyper Beast fell victim to capital rotation. As traders chased momentum in AK skins, money flowed out of slower-moving M4A1-S finishes. With plenty of MW copies available, sellers had to cut aggressively to find buyers.
AK-47 | Neon Revolution (Minimal Wear) | −18.23%
Neon Revolution has been losing relevance for months. Its bold design no longer stands out against newer AKs, and with no speculative narrative supporting it, this week’s sell-off pushed it to fresh local lows.
AK-47 | Midnight Laminate (Minimal Wear) | −14.36%
Midnight Laminate is a classic, but classic does not mean liquid. When the market turns risk-on and traders hunt for volatility, quiet collector skins are often sold to fund more active trades.
AWP | Crakow! (Minimal Wear) | −13.77%
Crakow! continues to struggle with weak player demand. Even in good condition, it lacks the visual impact of more popular AWP skins, making it easy to drop when buyers become selective.
Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web (Minimal Wear) | −11.74%
This drop was driven by supply pressure and sentiment. Crimson Web gloves remain popular, but there are simply too many listings competing for limited demand. In weeks when players prioritize weapons over gloves, prices slip quickly.
Valve confirmed that Premier Season Three ends on January 19th, with players needing 25 wins and a visible CSR to earn the season medal. End-of-season periods historically increase match volume and engagement, which tends to boost interest in rifles and pistols as players refresh their loadouts.
For Season Four, Valve also announced a map pool change:
Train is added
Anubis is removed
Last week was driven less by fundamentals and more by where traders and players chose to focus their money. Skins with thin supply and strong recognition exploded upward, while slower, over-supplied items were sold to finance those moves.
In a market like CS2, price is often about attention, not just quality — and last week, Aquamarine Revenge and Nightwish had it.
